Life, Death & Unconditional Faith
Updates on Initiatives & Lessons Learned Along The Way

It’s been more than a year since I last posted here. I’ve been “in the lab”, studying and creating worlds. It’s been a wild and fruitful year.
This is an invitation into the work I’m contributing to (and you can too!), and some stories and insights along the way.
‘OHANA (family)
It’s been five years since my marriage ended. From the beginning of the split, Ilea and I committed to letting our children’s experience guide our decisions and priorities, and to slow down and breathe through it all. As we’ve patiently navigated that journey, it’s opened up space for us to heal and form a new relationship, beyond our marriage.
I’m grateful that we’re co-parenting harmoniously, and that we’ve cultivated a new kind of friendship. Our children feel that. Our family is blessed.

Our kiddos are thriving. The twins (Zion and Teya) are 10 now, Saoirse is 13 (whoa!), and Francois just turned 31 last month and has an 8 year old daughter (Sellisha).
They’re all such wonderful humans. They inspire me to be a better man. They shine brightly. I’m honored to be their father.
They’ve inspired me to share some of the values and practices that afford us such beautiful, resilient, loving relationships.
A NEW RELATIONSHIP WITH MY FATHER
January 21st marks the two year anniversary of my father’s passing. Over the last two years, I’ve been reconstructing my life in the absence of my father in physical form.
I miss him. A lot. And I’m also grateful for the new, ever-evolving relationship I have with him now. I’m cognizant that he’s still living out his journey through all of us. I carry him with me in every moment.
Each of us family members have had to reimagine our worlds without dad here leading the way. Though, he’s still inspiring us and guiding us. We just have to listen in new ways.
My mother, Joanne is such a source of inspiration to me. My gratitude and admiration for her are beyond words. We launched her Book Editing business earlier last year and she’s doing some amazing work there, with the support of Ilea and my sister Ashley.
My brother, Kevin has launched a really impressive (and important) program called the S.A.G.E. Process →

INDIGENOUS STUDIES
Over the past two years, I’ve delved deep into my studies of mapping Indigenous wisdom traditions, human migration, and the patterns and tools of economics, governance, religion, and behavior science.
I’ve been compiling on ongoing study called, “Human Migration & Indigenous Wisdom Mapping: A 65,000-Year Timeline of Human Migration, Wisdom Traditions, and the Path Forward”.
This report is designed to help us understand the science, history, and social dynamics that got us here, and to prove the profound importance of integrating Indigenous values in our efforts to harmonize humanity’s relationship with nature and one another.
WORKING WITH MIT & HARVARD
I'm honored to be working in partnership with MIT and Harvard on "reimagining medical education, and education more broadly, as a catalyst for systemic change in healthcare and beyond."
On January 15th, I'll be co-hosting a workshop in person at MIT titled, "Weaving Ways of Knowing: Indigenous and Religious Wisdom and Medical Education".
They have reached capacity for the in-person event at MIT, but you can still Join via Zoom if you’re interested.
LESSONS ALONG THE WAY
Over the last couple years, I’ve studied, and listened, and experienced a lot. Since my father’s passing, I’ve been thinking more about who I am, why I’m here, and what I’m committed to cause. Here are a few things I’ve learned lately.
UNCONDITIONAL FAITH - I tuned into the fact that so often, my faith (that love is the answer) is often very conditional. But I see my elders operating in this unshakable state of love and strength and faith.
What becomes possible when my faith is unconditional?BEYOND RESILIENCE - I witness my elders as being more anti-fragile than resilient. They experience the problem or challenge entirely differently than most. Everything is seen from an unconditional state of “being love”, unshakable peace and a noetic (inner knowing) sense. And their message is that this state of being is available to all of us.
THE LAW OF ASSUMPTION - The key to manifesting the life you want is in assuming that it’s already happening, despite any contrasting evidence. Because the miracle isn’t the thing you’re hoping for, the miracle is you choosing to be vulnerable enough to have the faith to let go of what holds you back. “Assumption isn’t a wish, it’s a covenant.” - Neville Goddard
THE IMPORTANCE OF IMAGINATION - I’ve become abundantly aware of the role of imagination in my life. It’s the foundational building blocks of our human experience. It can both create or transcend circumstantial the “evidence” that surrounds us. As I devote time to imagining my way into “living from the feeling of the wish fulfilled”, the world I want begins to organize itself around me.
DEATH INFORMS LIFE - Our relationship with death is the foundation for our relationship with life. This is evident in Indigenous cultures. Different ways of seeing the world result in different values, priorities, and behavior. We tend to organize our lives around our beliefs and feelings about death. Transforming my fears and interpretations of death has expanded my capacity for living life more freely, deeply, and fully.
My father gave me the gift of facing death, and understanding it in a new way. It informs how I live today. Now, I’m learning to live in an unconditional state of love.
INITIATIVES
These are the initiatives that receive my devoted attention. I helped build each of these organizations from the ground up and am grateful to have such amazing journey-mates in each endeavor. This is the work I believe in, and I invite you to be part of it.
I started Passage over a decade ago when I reached out to the Lakota and Hawaiian elders to listen and learn how to build this initiative. Two years ago, my journey-mate, Ty Clark joined me. Together we reimagined what Passage is today, “weaving Indigenous intelligence into our collective future”.
After a year of development, we’re launching Coherence Protocol, an AI framework for grounding AI’s behavior in Indigenous values that includes a “Fair Trade” inspired certification program.
We’re also a year into developing PassageDAO, “An Indigenous-Led Parallel Economy for Planetary Stewardship”, which is set to launch in the first quarter of 2026.
We’re orchestrating everything from land governance in South America to Lakota cultural revitalization, and an Indigenous-led food sovereignty program for all of Hawaii.
If you’re interested in supporting our work, we invite you to explore our website, make a DONATION, and/or join our WhatsApp group to be part of the conversation.
In September of 2025, I teamed up with US Marine, Major Jamison Slough and my continual co-creator, Ty Clark, to build a business around Ty’s foundational vitality products utilizing raw honey and adaptogenic mushrooms.
I’ve been working with the MycoNectar for two years now. It provides the foundational vitality that fortifies my entire system and elevates the efficacy of everything else I do to live a full, pain free, energized, vital life.
It’s the beginning of the year, when people are remembering the importance of their personal wellbeing. Perhaps it’s time to fortify your foundational vitality.
About seven years ago, I was invited to join some elders and stewards of the Hawaiian wisdom traditions to create what would become Kaiāulu. It’s been one of the greatest honors of my life.
We’re currently focused on Waiwai Nui, Hawaii’s plan for food sovereignty, which is being supported by Passage.
For the past four years, we’ve been hosting monthly New Moon Ceremonies on Zoom. There are usually 100 - 200 of us listening in on the call, with a group of elders leading a discussion and sharing insights. It’s open to the public and I hope you’ll join us!
Over the past 25 years, I’ve created 100s of brand identities and strategies for individuals and organizations. I continue to work with a small group of clients today.
If you’re looking for a partner to help you unearth your greatest value to the world and create a captivating brand identity, I’d love to support your journey.
Thank you!
I feel very blessed to be part of such meaningful and impacting initiatives and I’m grateful for your support.
All of my work centers around a goal of facilitating more collaboration and coordination.
If you’re interested in being part of any of these initiatives, or learning more, or collaborating in some meaningful way, I’m happy to connect.
Mahalo nui loa,
